GUIDELINES

Directory Ad sizes-
Full Page – 4.25” wide by 7.375” tall - $100 per ad
½ Page – 4.25” wide by 3.625” tall - $50 per space
¼ Page – 4.25” wide by 1.625” tall - $25 per space

“Boosters” - $2 each

Guidelines for “Booster” names: One name per $2 (can’t put couples on one line for $2) BOOSTER NAMES MUST BE TYPEWRITTEN. No handwritten lists will be accepted (too often names are misspelled because they’re illegible). It would be preferable that they be submitted via email using the following format: Firstname Lastname, PM (First name, last name, title - upper lower case – NOT ALL CAPS). If the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron are “boosters,” WM goes first, WP goes second, then everyone else alphabetically, please.

Guidelines for ads:

1) The entire directory is submitted to the printer electronically, so even formatted ads that are submitted must be retyped and will be reformatted to fit. If you want logos or artwork, please do not put them as a “watermark” or grayed out design behind text. They will not be included in the final ad.

2) As a general rule, to avoid rasterized (bumpy, gray looking text), we don’t scan ads - we retype them. If you really want your own designed ad in the directory, it must be the proper size and must be submitted electronically as a PDF file. We will also accept Microsoft Word documents, but please remember fonts may change (it’s the old mac vs. PC thing) and similar artwork may be substituted if the resolution is too low. Accepted file formats for camera ready ads are PDF files and Microsoft Word documents only (no “Works”, “Publisher” or any other type of files, please). If you submit art electronically, it must be jpeg and 300 dpi.

3) If a customer submits a “camera ready” ad with artwork, it must be submitted electronically and must be a PDF file with embedded fonts and a resolution of 300 dpi. It also must be the exact size as stated above. Ads submitted on paper will have to be retyped and reworked. Artwork submitted electronically needs to be 300 dpi (72 dpi artwork cannot be used in print – it may look good on your computer monitor, but will be very fuzzy and unreadable in print). We will also accept jpeg files of artwork only, but the artwork only must be 300 dpi, and any copy will be retyped to avoid rasterization.

4) If you submit an ad electronically, please still submit the form to the Directory Ad Chairman with the notation “submitted via email” in the spot that the ad would normally go. Provide your email address on that form. Please put “Directory Ad – XXX Chapter” in the subject line. Email the ad to azoesdirectory@gmail.com

5) If logos (such as business cards) are submitted, please DO NOT STAPLE the card, logo or ad to the order form. Please DO NOT PUT TAPE ON TOP of the card, logo or ad. Please apply the card to the form using double sided or folded tape ON THE BACK only! It’s time consuming (and sometimes impossible) having to repair a logo that has a hole in the middle of it, or a shadow or reflection from tape.

6) If you submit one check to cover several ads, please provide an itemized description of the ad (customer), cost and size:
For example: Golden Rule Chapter submits a check for $135.
Please do the following: $135 - XXX Hotel, $25, ¼ page ad; Golden Rule Chapter, $50, ½ page ad; YYY Restaurant, $50, ½ page ad; 5 Boosters at $2 each. This helps both the Ad Sales Chairman and the Directory Production Chairman greatly and helps to ensure your ad doesn’t get left out.

7) As a general rule, quarter-page ads will appear at the bottom of your chapter list and/or map pages. If you submit more than two quarter page ads for your chapter, please specify which two should appear below your chapter list and map.

8) Please make a photocopy of the completed Directory Ad Forms prior to submission.
